EdgeProp announces winners of EdgeProp Excellence Awards 2023; Sustainable Spaces the theme year
EdgeProp Singapore announced the winners of its annual EdgeProp Excellence Awards (EPEA) at a gala luncheon and dinner on October 6, held at the newly-opened Pan Pacific Orchard. City Developments, GuocoLand, and UOL Group emerged as major winners with more than 7 awards each.
The prestigious dinner event saw 220 guests in attendance, including key VIPs in the real estate industry and the Guest-of-Honour, Singapore’s Minister for National Development & Minister-in-charge of Social Services Integration, Mr Desmond Lee. The event’s theme of Sustainable Spaces emphasised the collective effort to meet Singapore’s net-zero emissions target by 2050, while also meeting the basic and aspirational needs for affordable and sufficient housing.
In the Uncompleted Residential category AMO Residence and Lentor Modern clinched all 7 Excellence awards. The judging panel, composed of 6 esteemed jurors, evaluated nominees based on 6 categories: Landscape, Design, Innovation, Sustainability, Showflat, and Marketing. The sustainability scoring methodology was developed by CPG Corporation, which borrows components from Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) Green Mark Certification Scheme.
The event was sponsored by Geberit Southeast Asia, V-Zug Singapore and Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pacific, with Official Knowledge Partners KPMG Singapore and CPG Corporation, and Supporting Partners Cosentino and Surface iD Studio.
Condominiums are an increasingly popular choice for property buyers in Singapore. The city-state boasts a range of luxury Singapore Condo developments with amenities like gyms, swimming pools and BBQ pits, all attractive features for potential buyers. The surge in demand for homes has played a major role in driving up the prices of Singapore condos. Despite this, it provides investors an opportunity to cash in on high yields by renting out their units. Whether you’re buying for investment or to live in, a Singapore Condo is an attractive prospect.
The luncheon part of the event saw 100 guests from the Real Estate Salesperson industry celebrate the successes of the sector despite the challenging conditions brought by soaring inflation, rising interest rates, cooling measures and buyers’ fatigue in the past two years. EdgeProp Singapore CEO Bernard Tong, in his concluding remarks, emphasised that adaptability and embracement of technology will be key guiding factors in order for firms to excel in the modern era.
Minister Desmond Lee presented the Sustainability Excellence Awards, as well as the complete list of awards and winners, which was released on the same day. To the winners, Mr Tong said, “You have crafted not just structures from an empty field, but spaces that people are proud to call home. Spaces that welcome friends and family with open arms, spaces that provide comfort and solace after a long day’s toil.”
The EdgeProp Real Estate Salesperson Excellence Awards, the first of its kind to be held, recognised exceptional real estate agents who are the top transactors in their respective categories, whilst the EdgeProp Excellence Awards celebrated outstanding property developers and their developments that achieved excellence in Singapore’s real estate industry.
The Singapore Green Plan 2030, launched two years ago, stands as the whole-of-nation movement for climate action, setting the tone for sustainable development. EdgeProp Excellence Awards’s 7th annual edition in Singapore proved to be the most meaningful yet, celebrating the success of projects which have become the pride of many Singaporeans, who proudly call it their home.
