    New Tampines Street 62 EC Launched Under Government Land Sales Programme 1H 2021

    The first half of 2021 is the launch period for the Government Land Sales Programme. The programme comprises four Confirmed List and nine Reserve List sites, resulting in 7,045 private residential units, 91,200 sqm of commercial space, and a total of 1,070 hotel rooms.     The GLS Programme will be launched on 15 April 2021, with a total supply of 3,715 private residential units and 530 hotel rooms. These new sites will serve as the basis for future residential projects in the neighbouring area.

    A joint venture between Qingjian Realty and Santari Construction has won a prime EC plot on Tampines Street 62. The developer is currently building a high-rise condominium project in District 18 that is set to launch in the second half of 2022. The development is positioned close to Ikea, Giant and Courts Megamart, ensuring a strong demand for housing. The company is known for focusing on residential, commercial and industrial properties.

    The top bid for the Tampines St. 62 EC site is expected to be $422 million, which works out to $659 psf ppr, which is a new record for GLS EC sites. The previous record was set in June 2021 by Tengah Garden Walk EC, which went for $603 psf ppr. The joint venture of Qingjian Realty and SantarLi Construction has submitted a $422 million land rate for the Tampines EC site. This works out to $659 psf per plot ratio. According to Nicholas Mak, head of research and consultancy at ERA Singapore, this is the highest land rate for an EC site in history.
