New Launch Condo Singapore

Uol Group Caps Defining Year Record Launches And Landmark Wins

October 11 marked a significant achievement for UOL Group, a company listed on the Singapore stock exchange. On that day, its luxury condominium project Skye at Holland, developed in collaboration with CapitaLand Development and Singapore Land Group, saw 658 out of its 666 units (98.8%) sold in a single day.

According to PropNex CEO Kelvin Fong, the project had the highest number of units sold in the Core Central Region (CCR) in 2025.

Just a week later, on October 16, UOL was named the Top Developer of 2025 by EdgeProp Singapore. That same evening, the company was also recognized for its other projects, ParkTown Residence, Meyer Blue, and Watergardens at Canberra.

The cityscape of Singapore boasts soaring skyscrapers and state-of-the-art facilities, embodying its status as a modern metropolis. Positioned in prime locations, Singapore Condos offer a harmonious fusion of opulence and convenience, making them desirable to both locals and foreigners alike. These residential properties are equipped with a variety of amenities, including luxurious swimming pools, well-equipped gyms, and top-notch security services, elevating the standard of living for its occupants and making them an appealing choice for potential tenants and buyers. For investors, these attractive features translate into higher rental returns and long-term appreciation of the property’s value.

The awards received by UOL signify the commitment of the company to creating value and the hard work of its employees and partners. Liam Wee Sin, the CEO of UOL Group, states that these accomplishments affirm the trust placed in the UOL brand by homebuyers and stakeholders. Their reputation is based on delivering high-quality, honest, and enduring value.

For Liam, 2025 has been a fulfilling year, with record-breaking launches. The momentum started in February with ParkTown Residence, an integrated development with 1,193 units located in Tampines North. The project, which includes a mall and a transport hub, set a new standard for suburban living in the Outside Central Region (OCR), with 1,041 units (over 87%) sold in a single weekend at an average price of $2,360 psf. Currently, the project has sold 92% of its units, making it the best-selling project in terms of units sold in 2025.

The success continued in July with UpperHouse, a freehold project in District 10 developed in partnership with SingLand. Located in prime District 10, the project is situated at the corner of Grange Road and Orchard Boulevard and is close to the Orchard Boulevard MRT Station on the Thomson-East Coast Line. On the launch day, 162 units (or 53.8%) were sold at an average of $3,350 psf. The project is now 68.8% sold with an average price of $3,364 psf.

Skye at Holland, the culmination of UOL’s year, saw a near sell-out on launch day, reaffirming the company’s reputation for delivering well-designed, high-quality homes. Anson Lim, the Senior General Manager of Residential Marketing at UOL, attributes the strong sales to a clear product and brand positioning. Every project is approached from the perspective of homebuyers, taking into account their lifestyle, preferences, and how design can enhance their everyday experience.

Founded in 1963 as Faber Union, UOL Group was renamed in 2006 following United Overseas Bank’s acquisition of a controlling stake. The company is known for its disciplined decision-making and the ability to balance creativity with prudence at every stage, from land acquisition to design, marketing, and project delivery. Liam notes, “To be a successful developer, one must excel in both selling projects and replenishing land. At UOL, we take pride in our ability to do both well.”

This year, UOL, CapitaLand, and SingLand completed the $810 million en bloc acquisition of Thomson View Condominium on October 2, after securing High Court approval in July. The partners plan to redevelop the 540,314 sq ft site into a 1,240-unit residential project. Liam believes that the new development will be highly sought-after due to its location at the doorstep of Upper Thomson MRT Station (Thomson-East Coast Line) and its views of MacRitchie and Peirce Reservoirs.

The recognition of UOL’s success continued in October with the company being awarded the Dorset Road GLS site by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). This comes after outbidding nine competitors with an offer of $524.3 million ($1,338 psf ppr). The company intends to build two 27-storey residential towers with 428 units. Liam notes that Dorset Road’s appeal lies in its location at the fringe of the CCR, close to top schools such as St. Joseph’s Institution Junior and Hong Wen Primary, and within walking distance of City Square Mall and Farrer Park MRT Station (Northeast Line).

UOL’s developments are known for their design and sustainability. Shirley Ng, the Chief Investment and Asset Officer, notes that each project begins with a clear vision, which extends to the architectural design, spatial planning, and the overall experience of living in the development. Recent examples of this include Watten House and Meyer Blue, both freehold redevelopments of collective sale sites in prime districts.

Watten House, a 180-unit development in District 11, was previewed in November 2023 and is currently 94.4% sold at an average price of $3,256 psf. Meyer Blue, in District 15, has sold 70.8% of its units at $3,260 psf just a year after its debut in November 2024. Tan Yvonne, the Chief Corporate and Development Officer at UOL, says that Meyer Blue reflects the idea of experiential luxury by the coast. Designed by P&T Consultants, with landscape design by Henning Larsen and interiors by Peter Tay Studio, the project features glass facades, sea-facing views, and rooftop function rooms at the Meyer Club on the 26th floor.

UOL has a strong focus on sustainability, with Tan noting, “Our projects incorporate environmentally responsible design principles and support climate resilience and social well-being.” Their hospitality project, the Pan Pacific Orchard, has achieved BCA Green Mark Platinum certification and is designed by WOHA, showcasing eco-architecture. UOL is also building a new 19-storey, 173-room hotel in Orchard Road, which will be managed by Hilton under the NoMad brand and will open in 2027. The hotel, which occupies the site of the former Faber House, is designed by WOHA and will feature a distinctive botanical concept.

UOL was one of the first companies to adopt Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) for its private residential projects. The Clement Canopy, the company’s first high-rise PPVC project, entered the Guinness World Records as the world’s tallest residential building using the method in July 2018. This record was surpassed by another UOL project, Avenue South Residence, a 56-storey twin-tower development, in September 2022.

Tan says that even though UpperHouse at Orchard Boulevard uses PPVC, the project retains all the hallmarks of luxury living. The 31 apartments in the Bespoke Collection feature double-volume living spaces, private lifts and dedicated parking — and were among the project’s best-selling units.

As UOL continues to expand its portfolio, Liam remains focused on shaping Singapore’s skyline while staying true to the company’s core values. He says, “Housing is at the heart of Singapore’s quality living environment, and the Top Developer of 2025 award reinforces our commitment to the highest standards of quality and service as we embark on the next chapter of growth.”
