New KJE, Senja Road flyover to open on Dec 17
According to the latest press release on 6th of December, a new Senja Road flyover will be available for residents of both Senja Road and woodlands to use which will lead to reduced traveling time as shorter distances between the town of Bukit Panjang and Woodlands. The flyover connects Bukit Timah Expressway BKE to other parts of Bukit Panjang, including Senja Road, Bukit Panjanf and Segar Road, and provide a direct and shorter travelling row between Woodlands and Bukit Panjang. It is part of the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) plans to improve the connectivity between Bukit Panjang, Yishun and Choa Chu Kang.
The new flyover is part of the ongoing Senja Road widening project and is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the area. It will also provide direct connections between Bukit Panjang Road and Choa Chu Kang Way, as well as between Yishun Avenue 2 and Senja Road. The new flyover will also improve accessibility for buses and pedestrians.
